Q. Why holistic health coaching?

A. Corporate wellness cultures and healthy employees and are more productive, innovative, and create more profit than unhealthy ones. Q. What is a Health Coach?

A. A Health Coach is a professional guide and mentor who empowers individuals to take responsibility for their health and supports them in making sustainable food and lifestyle choices. Health Coaches do not prescribe one diet or one way of living. Rather, they help people develop a deeper understanding of the food and lifestyle choices that work best for their bodies. Some common areas where a Health Coach can assist include weight management, food cravings, sleep, energy, digestion, stress, time management, health promotion, prevention and disease management.

 

 

Q. Is the information discussed in one-on-one health coaching sessions kept confidential?

A. Yes. All of the information shared in individual sessions will remain completely confidential between the employee and the Health Coach.

 

 

 

Q. Why yoga and meditation?

A. Yoga and meditation are immediately effective ways of reducing stress, improving mental clarity and relieving muscular tension. Organizations that implement yoga and meditation programs: reduce healthcare costs over time; see an increase in worker productivity; report more creative and engaged employees; highlight these programs for attracting and retaining talent; and boost employee morale and company pride.

 

 

 

Q. How much room do we need to hold a corporate yoga class?

A. We offer Desk Yoga and Conference Room Yoga when there is little or no floor space. When there is floor space available, each participant using a yoga mat will need approximately 3 by 7 feet of space.

 

 

 

Q. Do we need yoga mats?

A. Each person will need a yoga mat for Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga only. Mats can be purchased in stores and online for about $20 or we can arrange for CWS to provide them for an additional charge. Towels will not do as they are slippery and unsafe.

 

 

 

Q. What is meditation?

A. Meditation is the practice of quieting and focusing the mind. Meditation results in mental clarity, improved concentration and better decison making. Research shows that meditation lowers cortisol levels, decreases blood pressure, and lowers the heart rate.

 

 

Q. Can anyone meditate?

A. Yes, anyone can meditate. When people first start meditating, many fall asleep; this is very common and to be expected. However, with regular practice the mind stays awake and transcends into a very deep and relaxed state. Over time and with regular practice (20 minutes/day) the mind is regularly more calm and clear.

 

 

Q. How can massage therapy benefit my company?

A. In a recent study conducted by The American Institute of Stress, “80% of workers feel stress on the job, nearly half say they need help in learning how to manage stress.” Massage therapy has an immediate effect on the body and mind. It effectively reduces stress, muscle tension and provides and overall sense of relaxation and mental clarity. Providing massage therapy to your employees increases productivity, builds morale and loyalty. 

 

 

Q. What are our professional credentials?

A. All of our coaches, teachers, and therapists have all received professional training from fully accredited programs and hold the necessary licenses, certifications and liability insurance to practice.

 

 

Q. How soon will we see results?

A. Benefits will be experienced immediately particularly with massage therapy, yoga and meditation. Holistic Health Coaching benefits tend to happen over time as this varies from person to person based on their current level of health and their willingness to participate. However, even if the motivation isn’t there right away, that's okay. We are skilled at inspiring clients to take action. Our coaching sessions, classes, massage therapy, workshops, presentations, and materials are designed to be interesting, engaging and straight up fun! By starting with small, achievable goals, employees will start seeing results and will be motivated to move on to larger goals.
