Covid-19 Control Plan

We look forward to working again… and doing so safely.  Below you will find the changes we've put in place to ensure your safety and our own. We will begin seeing our guests on maintenance and pain management plans starting July 1.

Confirming Appointments

Appointments will be confirmed 24 hours in advance and health inquiries made:

  • Do you have any symptoms - fever, cough, shortness of breath, body aches, sore throat?

  • Have you been exposed to someone with symptoms or confirmed illness within the last 14 days?

Additionally, you will be given confirmation of:

  • Confirmation on which studio door to use (suite 16 or 17)

  • For your first visit back, you will also need a 15-minute call with your therapist for your pre-massage assessment.  

  • Link to our Covid-19 Release form, which must be completed at least 24hrs before your appointment.

Appointments will be rescheduled for anyone who is symptomatic, or asymptomatic but exposed to anyone with symptoms or confirmed illness within the last 14 days. There will be no cancellation charge for any appointment rescheduled due to illness.  

Guest must wear a face mask

Masks are mandatory for all therapists & clients in Massachusetts receiving bodywork.   All clients MUST arrive wearing their own face mask.  If your mask is in poor condition, or you would prefer to use a disposable surgical mask, they are available to purchase for a small fee. 

 

A face mask must be worn at all times within the building, studio, and treatment room. And yes, your massage will still be effective and enjoyable- we invite you to try it out, even if you feel hesitant!

PPE for Therapists

For your protection and ours, your massage therapist will don a clean set of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) for your entire visit.  Your therapist will wear a face mask, eye protection, and apron for the duration of their time in the studio and for your visit.

On Arrival

Upon arrival at the studio, please knock on the door and wait outside the designated studio door, wearing your mask.

  • Do not arrive too early. Arrive no more than 10 mins prior to your session.

  • Use the restroom and wash your hands before entering our studio.  The therapist will meet you outside with the key.

  • We have hand sanitizer for you to use before and after your session.

  • We will take your temperature using a non-contact thermometer before your treatment. The standard protocol for fever dismissal is a reading of 100.4 or higher.

  • You will be asked Covid-19 screening questions before the massage session starts.

  • No food will be allowed in the studio and any beverages a guest brings will be limited to ONE seal-able container.  

Social Distancing

All work will be done BY APPOINTMENT ONLY with no walk-ins allowed.

 

Creative Wellness will be using both of our studio doors, suite 16, and 17, to allow for privacy during the pre-screening questions and to ensure you have the lounge dedicated to you.

 

Appointments will be spaced out to allow ample time for disinfecting public items such as doorknobs, bathroom, etc.

Studio Capacity

The number of people in the studio will be limited to ONE client - One massage therapist per suite. There will be NO FRIENDS OR FAMILY ALLOWED.


Each therapist will have a dedicated door (suite 16 or suite 17) to accommodate proper social distancing requirements.  We ask that you ARRIVE ON TIME, as this will help manage the flow and ensure your safety and ours.

Air Purity

Air quality and filtering are essential at Creative Wellness, and we've chosen a combined method for enhanced safety.  

  • Air Filtration:  We've added extra-large room HEPA air purifiers to each lounge and treatment room.  Each air purifier is rated for room sizes up to 465 square feet, and our largest treatment room is only 216 square feet.  The air purifier filters the room air up to 5 times per hour.   While there is ongoing research about the effectiveness of air purifiers, recent research suggests they can reduce the risk of transmission of other viruses similar to Covid-19.

  • Fresh Air: Our treatment rooms all have windows that open to the outside, and we've added dual-direction window fans for bringing in the fresh air and moving out room air. 

  • Air Conditioners: Our A/C units do not transfer air between rooms.  Our studio does not have an integrated HVAC system but rather stand-alone units for each room.  

  • Time: We schedule a minimum of 30 minutes between sessions, with a more extended mid-day break.  This allows enough time for the therapist to clean the treatment room and allows the room to rest before the next session.   

Digital Payments & Rebooking

For the immediate future, payments and rebooking will not happen in the studio.  After your session, you will receive a text confirming:

  1. Your fee for the session

  2. If you would like to add a tip

  3. Session options for rebooking


​Your credit card on file will automatically be charged before the end of the day.   During this time, Creative Wellness will no longer be selling massage packages.   

 

If you would like to pay cash or check for your appointment, please let us know.  We will provide an envelope for your use.   If you would like to use a different credit card than the one on file, please let us know.  We are happy to send you an invoice, via Quickbooks.    

Things to keep in mind

Much of our cleaning and sanitizing protocols have not changed because we already had those in place before the pandemic. However, we have added extra cleaning and disinfecting time at the end of each appointment so our treatment room has time to "breathe" and be properly sanitized for the next guest. We are utilizing additional HEPA air purifiers, hospital-grade disinfectant, gloves, and more for the safety of everyone in our office.
